This Pokemon also has a different learnset and ability depending on gender, as real Platypus males have a poison spur.
Like with Platypot aboriginal art, a vase and a duck-billed platypus all contributed to this design. The leak from the vase is the tail and I tried to make sure it looked like a platypus and not just a duck, but I'm not sure if I succeeded.
